Welcome to FindHackers, the portfolio platform for full-stack developers, software engineers, and indie builders. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FindHackers and all related services. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please discontinue use immediately.

By accessing FindHackers, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• You will use the platform for its intended purpose: showcasing developer work and connecting with opportunities

Use of FindHackers constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Creating an Account: You must provide accurate, complete information during registration. You can sign up using email or Google OAuth.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at hello@findh.co.

Account Integrity: One account per person. Creating multiple accounts for manipulation or spam will result in permanent ban.

Professional Conduct: Your profile represents you as a developer. Maintain professionalism in project descriptions, communications, and interactions.

Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you create, including:

• Project descriptions, screenshots, and technical documentation
• Code snippets and repository links
• Profile information, bio, and work history
• Comments, messages, and other interactions

License Grant: By posting content, you grant FindHackers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute your profile and projects. This includes:

• Displaying your portfolio publicly to recruiters and users
• Using your projects in marketing materials (with attribution)
• Processing content through AI to power the hiring assistant
• Featuring exemplary projects in platform showcases

Content Standards: All content must be:

• Accurate and truthful (no false claims about projects or skills)
• Original or properly attributed
• Free from malicious code, viruses, or exploits
• Compliant with intellectual property laws
• Professional and non-offensive

Developer Portfolio: Showcase your full-stack projects with descriptions, tech stacks (React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, etc.), screenshots, and live demos.

AI Hiring Assistant: An AI agent answers recruiter questions about your work using your project data. You control what information is AI-readable.

Job Scraper: Automated job discovery pulls relevant full-stack, frontend, backend, and DevOps opportunities from various sources.

FindHackers Launchpad: Connect projects with funding, mentorship, and collaborators (separate terms may apply).

Analytics Dashboard: Track profile views, project impressions, and recruiter interest.

FindHackers reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

Your data usage is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Your portfolio is publicly accessible by design
• You control project visibility (public, private, or AI-readable)
• We use data to improve platform services and provide analytics
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• You can export or delete your data anytime

Permitted Use: FindHackers is for professional developer networking, portfolio showcasing, and job discovery.

Prohibited Activities:

• Scraping or harvesting user data without permission
• Spamming recruiters or other users
• Impersonating other developers or companies
• Posting false information or fake projects
• Attempting to hack, breach, or exploit platform security
• Using automated bots or scripts (except for authorized GitHub integrations)
• Harassment, discrimination, or offensive conduct
• Copyright infringement or intellectual property violations

Enforcement: Violations result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban without refund.

Free Tier: Core features (profile creation, project showcase, basic analytics) are free.

Premium Features: Advanced features (enhanced AI assistant, priority visibility, detailed analytics) may require subscription:

• Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually
• All fees are non-refundable unless required by law
• You can cancel anytime; access continues until period end
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card information.

FindHackers IP: The platform, design, code, trademarks, and all related intellectual property belong to FindHackers. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

User IP: You retain rights to your projects and content. We claim no ownership over your code or creative work.

DMCA Compliance: We respect intellectual property rights. To report infringement, contact hello@findh.co with details.

FindHackers integrates with third-party services:

• GitHub: For repository connections and code showcase
• Google: For OAuth authentication
• OpenAI: For AI hiring assistant functionality
• Job Platforms: For job scraper aggregation

We are not responsible for third-party service availability, policies, or data practices. Use at your own discretion.

Service "As Is": FindHackers is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Uptime, reliability, or availability
• Job placement or hiring success
• Accuracy of AI-generated responses
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers

Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindHackers shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, data, or opportunities
• Damages exceeding fees paid in the last 12 months

User Responsibility: You are responsible for backup copies of your data and content.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FindHackers, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your content or projects
• Infringement of third-party rights
• Misuse of the platform

By You: You may delete your account anytime from your settings page. All data will be permanently removed per our Privacy Policy.

By FindHackers: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or harm the community.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to the platform ceases immediately. Paid subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law.

We may update these Terms to reflect:

• New features or platform changes
• Legal or regulatory requirements
• Security or operational improvements

Notice: Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification 30 days before taking effect.

Acceptance: Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

Assignment: You may not transfer your account. We may assign these Terms to affiliates or successors.
